THE PROPOSITION

Taq Taq Oilfield, Iraq have a standalone dosing system onsite. This treats 3000bbls per day or Crude Oil. The system is termed the TPF (Temporary Processing Facility), the untreated crude travels down a central export line termed the CPF (central processing facility) line. The TPF line tees out of this line, through the Taq Taq system. The system doses H2S scavenger into 3000bbls of crude per day, which is then fed back into the main CPF line, which carries approximately 100,000 bbls of crude per day.

Current dosage rates are approximately 400-500 ppm per day, this is to treat h2s at approximately 100-120 ppm.

THE CONCLUSION

The best performing sample was a CP 1991 - brought by Chemiphase. This reduced the H2S from 114 ppm to 55.7 at 300ppm dosage rate. This product performed the best at 100 and 200 ppm. On the second day this also performed well, with the product achieving a reduction in the H2S to 7.5 ppm at a dosage rate of 600ppm.
